Home Insurance Reviews

Home insurance comprises of a few different types of products. Your building is covered by home or building insurance. Everything inside your house or apartment such as TV, furniture, and whitegoods is covered by contents insurance. Many insurance companies bundle these two products together into a home & contents insurance package.

As with all insurance it can be helpful to read home insurance reviews to understand how customers feel about the insurance company and their experience with claims.

Typically home and/or contents insurance will only protect you against a defined list of events (storm, flood, fire, cyclone, etc) rather than in case anything goes wrong. Optional types of cover usually include accidental damage, portable (away from home), valuables, pet insurance, motor burnout.

Flood insurance

Not all insurance companies will cover you for all types of flooding. River flood may not be covered and will often result in higher premiums if it is. Make sure you review the product information and PDS carefully so that you are aware if river flood is included.
