Early this month our car was hit by a ute. Our side mirror was hit when the ute was reversing. The driver admitted his mistake. We took a photo of his driver’s license, photo of his vehicle number plate and photos of the scene. We believe this is what ‘s required to make a claim. When contacted NRMA, the answer is although this is not our fault, we are still liable to pay the $600 excess and have the no claim bonus scrapped!! All because we did not get the contact of the driver!!
    In my opinion it’s not difficult for a big corporate like NRMA to trace a person’s contact when we already know the vehicle’s number plate and driver’s license details. NRMA is ripping us off for sure and it is unethical.
    Never never deal with NRMA.
