  1. Everything has to be 1 star as they don’t actually provide an insurance service. 4 months after our car was rear ended we still can’t get an assessor to access the car. We are in a major capitol city (Brisbane) so its not as though we are rural and difficult to get to. Every phone call we get promised next day contact yet nothing happens. Now they have the nerve to send a renewal policy with a raised premium for a decreased “agreed” value. Since they don’t actually provide an insurance service you are essentially donating money to a massive corporate giant.

  2. My 6 year old BMW had a minor accident- they wrote it off claiming repair costs were too expensive- I was given an amount that was much, much lower than market price. The damage to the car itself was really minor and I was able to drive immediately after the accident. No one was hurt in the accident.
I wish I had insured with some other insurer.
NEVER INSURE YOUR CAR WITH ALLIANZ.

  3. I had a claim accepted, then was asked to phone them to arrange to see an approved repairer, but quite simply they never answer the phone! When I want to pay my premium they answer in 10 seconds, when I want to speak about a claim, they never answer or respond to emails.
I am having to go to AFCA to plead my case even though the claim is approved.
Essentially criminal behaviour, insure with anyone except these crooks, never known anyone so blatant about ripping people off, seriously, go elsewhere.

  4. Absolutely hopeless.

They will push you to your wits end and pull every excuse under the sun to delay paying you. When they cant find anything to decline your claim on, they will delay and delay and delay hoping you just give up. They send out investigators and use this as an excuse to hold off paying the insured out. Stick to more reputable companies like NRMA or GIO, pay that little bit extra and get the service you pay for. Dont bother with saving a few $ and not having an insurance company there for you

  6. Had my rear windscreen broken by a landscape guy using a brush cutter. Got all the details, contact numbers person responsible etc. When i phone Allianz basically i was told that i had two options: 1. pay the excess ($675) or use up my windscreen replacement cover. When I proceeded to explain that it was not vandalism and I had all the details I was told that I would be better off dealing with it myself as the only way they can process it is for me to lodge a claim as if the guy at fault did not exist and it would go against my no claim bonus as they would have to chase the guy up and find out if he accepted liability and this they would only do if I pay an excess and then they would go and try and recover it from the other party….never had this before every other insurance company took over at that point and I did not have to do any chasing myself. what am i paying insurance for??

  7. Very disappointed in your insurance company and pulling out all our insurances with you. Hubby had a rear window on his brand new car broken by a landscape guy using a brush cutter. Got all the details, contact numbers person responsible etc. When he phoned Allianz basically he was told that he had two options: 1. pay the excess ($675) or use up his windscreen replacement cover. When He proceeded to explain that it was not vandalism and he had all the details he was told that he would be better off dealing with it himself as the only way they can process it is for him to lodge a claim as if the guy at fault did not exist and it would go against his no claim bonus as they would have to chase the guy up and find out if he accepted liability and this they would only do if he paid an excess and then they would go and try and recover it from the other party….never had this before every other insurance company took over at that point and he did not have to do any chasing myself. what am i paying insurance for?? He requested for a supervisor to call back and never had a response. Very disgusted!

  8. Allianz had our Cars insured for 15 years or more as they took over FAI who we were with from before 1996.
On or about the 14/4/15 we got our Allianz renewal in the mail and it was dearer than I thought it should be at $740.46. So as usual each year I ring around to see if I was being ripped off and since my daughter got her licence last month I thought I would add her to any new policy.
I got a number of quotes all between $500.00 and $800.00 including the same options we already had namely hire car, free windscreen et cetera and telling each the main drivers including my daughter who is 17.
Allianz had always been more expensive and on the renewal more than $100.00 dearer than the other companies quotes.
We rang Chantelle from Allianz on 14/04/15 to simply add my daughter to the policy and check the price, the car was older, lesser in value but the policy price was still high. Chantelle then quoted a ridiculous amount of money $2,619.19 for the same cover if our daughter was on the policy. Chantelle from Alliance then demanded a payment of approximately $97.00 immediately on the current policy which had not even expired. We thought this was something to do with our daughter getting her licence so we told Chantelle we would get other quotes and that our daughter would not drive the car. The policy had weeks left on it being due on the 4/5/15.
In our mail on 20/04/15 we got a cheque from Allianz for $89.59 dated the 15/04/15 on it was our policy number, a name Philip Stokoe and a disconnected phone number +611300360, there was no cover letter no explanation nothing. I tried many times to ring the number but kept getting the disconnected tone. I can only guess that Chantelle from Allianz had cancelled our policy because we would not pay the extra money she wanted to add out daughter on our existing policy. Also in the mail on 20/04/15 was a new policy from Allianz for a whopping $2,474.26. I immediately rang one of the other companies that we had quotes from and payed $559.00 for the same cover with our daughter on the policy plus and all the same extras included. I was ANGRY that Allianz had left us UNKNOWINGLY driving an uninsured vehicle from the 14/4/15 till the 20/4/15.
This morning 21/04/15 still Boiling Mad thinking there was probably a reasonable explanation why we were so badly treated I rang Allianz firstly I tried on +611300360 only getting the disconnected tone and then on the general number 1300139664 where
I was kept on hold for twenty minutes, I finally got through and I asked to speak with a manager regarding a serious complaint.
I was put through to Athena who claimed she was a manager at Allianz and could handle complaints. I asked Athena the following.
a: Why did Allianz cancel our policy without informing us?
b: Why was Allianz so expensive costing many times more other companies?
c: Did Allianz make a mistake and why were we treated so badly?
After being on hold for twenty minutes Athena told me that she could not discuss it and that there was nothing she could do. I asked her to listen to the recording of the original call and she refused! I asked her to review the complaint I made and she was not at all interested.
We are all rating one drivers all over 50 except for my daughter who just got her licence at 17. We had not made a claim with Allianz on this car and thank God we never had to as if this is how they treat you when you are buying a policy you can only
Imagine in your worst nightmare how they treat customers making a claim!

  9. Allianz customer service is 0 out of 10. No customer contact after claim lodged 8 days earlier. Their 24×7 line tells you to call back in working hours and the information and process you are told when you make a claim never eventuates. 10 years with no claim means nothing to this company. Dissapointing
